I just wanted to share some insight on the development of Project Glow with you.
I'm not quite sure where to take it.
I had only rough plans for it and that turns out to be a big problem.
For example I had various level settings in mind but turns out it's quite tiring for the eyes to keep focusing on the game in a rather dark environment.
And the glow in the dark visuals were supposed to be one of the main game hooks.
I also thought about making levels more like an open place to explore, rather than a path to run though. But that was just a day experimenting for now.
But I'm not sure how to tie things together like: Why do you do what you do? What's the end goal? And what exactly should it be that you do?
Also all the asset creation. Not too big of a problem if you got the time, but.. yeah, I don't really have the time right now.
This gets me to think if maybe I should just start something with a smaller scope. Maybe go back to mobile projects.
One thought I had was to livestream a project from start to finish.
When I find out what I'm gonna do, I'll let you know!
